It's been a while since I've posted, but it's been an absolutely crazy couple of weeks. Working (painfully slowly) on a distance degree, and taking a fun (not-for-credit) class in something totally new to me -- Hindi, has occupied a lot of time, as well as trying to keep my household running, get kids to their school bus (we're part time home/un-schoolers, and part-time schoolers), and all of us to various other classes, lessons, appointments.

Want to try something new? Here's a great site with lots of resources for learning a new language, including Hindi: http://home.unilang.org/main/index2.php
Run your mouse over the "I want to learn a new language" link in the left sidebar. A pull-down list will appear in the center of the page and you can click on the language of your choice. My Hindi teacher, Sharmila, is another inspiration. If I remember correctly, Hindi was her third language. She also speaks two other East Indian languages, I think, as well as English, French and Spanish. Wow. I'm envious and admiring!

WOW!!! A few years ago, I was learning Hindi for about a year, or more! Then my tutor moved away and I got lazy. When I get settled in, I'd love to get together! Maybe we can learn Hindi together?! It's the only language I've ever desired to learn.

I can't wait to meet you! I love you already! ;-)

Love,

Wendi
